潮流作用下苏北近岸海域高悬浮泥沙浓度变化特征及动力机制

    Variation characteristics and dynamic mechanism of high suspended sediment concentration in coastal waters of Northern Jiangsu under tidal current action

    • 摘要: 苏北近岸海域是中国沿海悬浮泥沙浓度(SSC)较高的海域之一,本文基于苏北近海底边界层观测结果,采用相空间阈值法、PUV方法和GM79模型对流速与波浪数据进行处理,探讨了高浓度悬浮泥沙(H-SSC)的变化特征及其对潮流动力的响应机制。结果表明:研究区潮流为不规则半日潮,近底层最大流速为0.87 m/s,观测期间波高介于0.06~0.34 m,波浪作用不显著。距底越近,SSC越高,距底0.4和0.6 m处SSC平均值分别为3.37和1.52 g/L,最大值分别为20.87和11.33 g/L。H-SSC峰值出现在涨、落急时刻之后,并于落憩时刻出现另一高值期,涨急和落急时刻H-SSC主要受沉积物再悬浮控制,落憩时刻H-SSC主要受平流输运影响。悬浮泥沙以沿岸输运为主,整体表现为沿岸向南和向岸输运特征。本研究可为近海H-SSC的沉积动力过程研究提供参考。

       

      Abstract: The coastal waters of northern Jiangsu are one of the areas with relatively high suspended sediment concentration (SSC) in China. Based on bottom boundary layer observations in this region, we processed the current and wave data using phase-space thresholding method, PUV method, and GM79 model to explore the variation characteristics of high suspended sediment concentration (H-SSC) and the mechanisms of its response to tidal dynamics. Results show that the tidal current in the study area is an irregular semi-diurnal tide, and the maximum near-bottom current velocity was 0.87 m/s. During the observation period, the wave height ranged from 0.06 to 0.34 m, and the wave effect was not significant. The SSC increased with decreasing distance from the bottom. The average SSC at 0.4 m and 0.6 m from the bottom was 3.37 g/L and 1.52 g/L, and the maximum SSC was 20.87 g/L and 11.33 g/L, respectively. The peaks of H-SSC occurred after the flood and ebb maxima, and a secondary high-value period appeared during slack water. H-SSC was mainly controlled by sediment resuspension, while it was mainly affected by advection transport during the slack water period. Suspended sediment was mainly transported along the coast, showing a general pattern of southward and onshore transport. This study provided a reference for the research on the sediment dynamic process of H-SSC in the coastal waters.
