Abstract
The seabed stability and liquefaction analysis under wave action is critical to marine engineering design. In this paper, we established the landslide model of the Caofeidian deep groove, based on the characteristics and parameters of engineering geology and hydrodynamic environment as well as the data from the region. Quantitative analysis of the groove stability shows that the slope of the deep groove is basically stable under a wave load once every 5 years. Under the extreme circumstance happened once every 50 years, small scale of landslides will occur in the shallow water area. The effect, however, is limited in depth. The results of this study are useful for hazard management in the area.
