IMPROVEMENT OF DATA ENTRY SYSTEM FOR MARINE GEOLOGICAL SURVEY DATABASE

The Marine geology survey database(MGSDB) usually manages data in the forms of tables and features created according to the MGSDB structure standards using related software. In this paper, a few key areas of MGSDB are selected for improvement, including the table space and corresponding system, the association between tables, and the large object data entry system. The results show that it would be helpful for efficient and correct data entry if a user and table space reasonably created, the appropriate relationship between data tables and public index table estabished, station location information table made available and BLOB storage used for the large object data.
